Single Server<br>Absinthe Glass Verse-Eau (Brouilleur)<br>This single server water dripper (or brouilleur) is an exact reproduction of an original late 1900 century<br>Verse-Eau and was used to add water (and optional sugar) to ones absinthe.<br>Use consists of<br>first pouring one dose (typically 30ml) of absinthe into a glass and placing the Verse-Eau atop<br>the glass.<br>Because absinthe is better served cold, ice can be placed inside.<br>Sugar is optional and should be placed<br>inside the brouilleur before<br>the ice.<br>Water is then added, traditionally by either a carafe or absinthe fountain. The cold<br>water slowly pours through a small hole located at its bottom and streams into the glass of absinthe. If sugar is used,<br>the water is usually slowed until the sugar begins to dissolve.<br>While preparing your absinthe, the piece does not need to be completely filled.<br>It is advisable to add water in small<br>increments so the Verse-Eau can be easily removed to sample the mixture<br>. Remember, an absinthe is intended to be<br>made to the preparers own liking.
